A three-movement work for saxophone quartetThe first movement reflects upon the George Bernard Shaw quote: “The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place”. This conversation takes place between two blocks of opposing material. Each block politely states its position alternately, though each remains unchanged, un-listening. The intensity of the debate increases as exchanges become more frequent, until they collide still unchanged, talking over each other.
